The Challenge
Situation
Following a strategic acquisition, the PE sponsor needed to replace the entire leadership team simultaneously. CEO, COO and CTO were all required across three separate operating units located in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
Constraint
A PE covenant deadline gave the search team 90 days from mandate signature to placed candidates. Three parallel C-suite searches across three continents had never been attempted simultaneously by any single search firm.
Complexity
Each role required deep CDMO domain expertise alongside international experience. The talent pool was narrow. Competing mandates from three other search firms were in market for two of the three roles.
Our Approach
Metric deployed a three-consultant team — one per geography — running fully parallel processes with shared intelligence infrastructure. Our proprietary CDMO leadership network, built over six years, provided immediate access to the right candidate pool without cold outreach.
We ran weekly alignment calls with the PE sponsor’s operating partner and delivered a combined shortlist for all three roles within 21 days of mandate signature — 14 days ahead of schedule.
All three roles were offered within 77 days of mandate signature. 100% offer acceptance. The board approved the leadership team at their quarterly review, 13 days ahead of the covenant deadline.
