New York, April 2026 – New York-founded recruitment firm Metric is proud to announce the successful placement of Damien Fischer as VP of Sales & Marketing at Covalent Metrology, an advanced materials science and analytical services platform.
This was a critically important search for Covalent Metrology. The incoming leader would not only head the company’s sales organization, but was equally required to be a genuine cultural fit, sharing CEO Craig Hunter’s deep passion for the materials science space, and fully investing in the company’s vision and long-term ambitions.
The search extended far beyond identifying a conventional sales leader. Working in close partnership with Craig throughout the process, the Metric team took a highly consultative approach, spending significant time understanding the type of leader he wanted to bring into the organization, while broadening perspectives on the profiles available in the market. Through regular feedback and multiple returns to market, Metric helped shape the direction of the search, and ultimately the kind of commercial leadership Craig sought to build within the business.
